Sarah Littlewood
Assistant Principal
Sarah graduated from Bishop Grosseteste University Lincoln in 2010 with a degree in Education Studies and Theology. After graduating she worked in a nursery as an early years practitioner and then went on to be a teaching assistant at a school in Halifax. It was at that school that she completed the Graduate Teacher Program, qualifying as a teacher in 2013.
Sarah started at Dixons Music in August 2013 as the founding Year 1 teacher. In 2015 she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Special Educational Needs Coordination at Leeds Beckett University. She then went on to be SENCo at Dixons Music Primary. In September 2017 she became a KS2 teacher, leading on coaching at the academy, and in 2019 became LKS2 lead.
In 2020 Sarah was successfully appointed as Associate Assistant Principal at the academy with a remit of whole school culture, coaching, plus KS2 and ECT Lead. In January 2022 she was appointed as Assistant Principal for behaviour & attitudes, and continues to lead professional growth across the academy. Sarah is the academy’s ECT Coordinator, and is a Visiting Fellow for Ambition Institute, supporting the delivery of the ECF across the trust.
